The Juice Fast

So, here I am on day seven of my juice fast! So far it's going well, I've only found one drink that I can't handle..some lemonade concoction. For now I'm only doing breakfast, but starting monday I'll go to two juice meal replacements a day and then the following monday three juice meal replacements (at least) assuming all goes well. I highly recommend getting juice fast recipes off line, or buying a book if you prefer if you ever decide to try this. Unless you are pretty creative already, but some recipes will actually tell you what the juice is going to do for you. Like, help digestion, detox, wake you up and what not. One wrench in the machine was finding out that the juice apparently only holds it's nutrition for 10 minutes so I can't make a ton up and drink off of it for a day or bring juice to school for lunch. In which case I'm going to have to fudge the rules a little since I'm not bringing my juicer to class with me every day. Not happening. That's all for now!

Ummmm...

Remember those twenty pounds? Well, they are still there!! So much for the grindstone.. However before the end of the month I'm going to start on a juice cleanse. Basically I'm challenging myself to drink nothing but juice for 60 days. And by juice I don't mean Tropicana...I'm actually going to take vegetables and fruits and put them in a juicer to get the natural liquid out of them and then drink it...I'm still working on the researching end of it, but it seems like it works really well and it's a fast way to drop weight and not die. Of course if you're thinking of doing something similar you should probably consult a doctor, just in case. I will do my best to post about my experience so this blog isn't a complete waste of coding...

So it goes...

So, obviously Anna and I are horrible at keeping up with this thing. Well, mostly I'm horrible at keeping up at it since Anna has never received the invitation to run this thing with me. I have gone to the gym once this week I believe since I've been waiting for the tattoo on my foot to heal. Don't worry, I didn't ditch the gym for a tattoo in a less bothersome place like my arm or some crap. haha. Anna and I got together as well and did some Wii Fit and Dance something game. I was a pretty good time (; I'm currently printing off a schedule of class times and I'm going to put my nose to the grind stone and get to the gym 2-3 times a week and take at least two classes. On the off days, I'm going to get on my exercise ball for 20 minutes. I'm sick of playing around with the same 20 pounds. It's time for them to get the heck off and stay off.

Well...

Well. We're still having technical difficulties with Anna being able to post anything. Unfortunately I have been having technical difficulties actually keeping up with this thing and both Anna and I are having technical difficulties getting our bums to the gym. One of these days I do have to learn how to get there by myself so when Anna's busy I'm not stuck staring at my computer for the remainder of the night. haha. Thankfully, I'm still losing since I've been keeping up with my new eating routine. A small meal every 3 hours rotating between a meal and a snack. Now I just have to slide some salads into that mix and I should be doing just dandy! I just signed a lease for an apartment of my own and I can not wait to move in...It'll be nice to have space for exercising on my ball and privacy in which to do it in. So excited.

Here comes Valentines day! Unfortunately this week is a pretty bad one for organizing workouts. I have a big history test to study for and Anna has a hubby taking her out for V-day (yay!). So, Thursdays going to be our one day work out this week. We both plan to get on our workout balls so that we're not missing out to much on physical activities. Have an amazing day tomorrow everyone!

Emily

Workout today equaled running like a mad woman for the entrance door to the store because of the COLD. I also walked from 5ish-10 doing errands minus travel time in the car. I'm now totally exhausted and considering going to bed at this early hour...it won't happen, never does..but I can dream right?
Yesterday Anna and I started our workout program at Gold's Gym. We swam for an hour, playing with dumbbells and trying to figure out what to do with them. After that we spent the same amount of time relaxing in the hot tub and people watching. One fella was checking out some girls and munching on grapes (creeper..) and another looked like a tanned version of a Tim Burton film... We're considering doing water aerobics, but we still have to hammer out a solid schedule for ourselves.
